In a lopsided victory, Sault St. Marie prevailed against Pride 14s 12 - 1 at Rockville Ice Arena on Sunday. Sault St. Marie tallied up seven unanswered goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Sault St. Marie gained three unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. In the last period, Sault St. Marie outscored Pride 14s two to one and kept the lead to win the game.

In goal, Pride 14s's Alexandra Dalaya had just five saves on 12 shots for the loss.

This was the first game of the season for Sault St. Marie.
