Pride Captain wins first ever POTY award

Washington Pride Captain Haley Skarupa has been selected as the JWHL's Player of the Year after voting by all 10 JWHL Major Junior Teams.  This award is named in honor of Liz Turgeon who played in the JWHL for the Colorado Select and was also a member of the US Under 18 Team.  Liz, a Freshman at the University of Minnesota, sadly passed away in a tragic accident this winter.  The JWHL Liz Turgeon Player of the Year Award recognizes a player who embodies the values that Liz represented as well as a players invaluable contribution to her team.
